Our Mission is to empower women and families through education to have safe and satisfying birth experiences.
We provide:
- Support to expectant Moms and Dads!
- A list of childbirth educators and doulas available in the southeast Idaho area.
- Information about the best health care providers that will support your birth decisions with Mother-Friendly Care.
- Up-to-date information to help you make decisions for the birth you want.
- Free monthly information and support meetings.
Our information is all based on EVIDENCE. This shows options for childbirth with the safest outcomes for mothers and newborns. Check out BirthNetwork National's home page with a link to the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative (MFCI). www.birthnetworknational.org

CHAPTER MEETING CALENDAR
***January/July- Cesarean Awareness and VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) Information
February/August- Harmony in the hospital.
March- Midwives and Doulas meet and greet. Come learn about the Midwifery Model of Care and what Certified Nurse Midwives and Certified Professional Midwives offer. Also find out how a doula can assist you and your partner during birth. This meeting will take place in Idaho Falls. No St. Anthony meeting this month.
April/October- Healthy Pregnancy. Learn about ways to have a healthy pregnancy including nutrition and exercise. Meeting conducted by a childbirth educator, doula, and midwifery apprentice.
May/November- Informed Consent and The Induction Seduction. The Pros and Cons of induction.
June/December- Comfort Measures for pregnancy, labor, and birth. What is a doula and how can she help?***
September- Meet Local Childbirth Educators. This is an outdoor event. Location TBA. This will replace regualar Idaho Falls and St. Anthony chapter meetings.
Refreshments served. We encourage spouses to come! Bring a friend too. Children are always welcome.
